Respect for the environment. Economical, durable and low maintenance materials. 100% renewable energy. Zero carbon

Eco-village of the tree-houses, alternative tourism proposal

This tree-house project aims to create an alternative space for people to reconnect with nature, without giving up comfort.

Respect for the environment.

With spaces adapted to basic needs, that allow being close to green spaces, in symbiosis and harmony.

Suspended over the treetops, these high-rise cabins integrate with the landscape, perching on it with almost no contact.

It is designed as an alternative to the more aggressive tourism that transforms the landscape to adapt it to a rigid program of commercial hotel uses.

At WLAB they understand that the reconnection with natural environments can only be done if the environment is respected and it is the architecture that adapts to nature, coexisting in balance.

The interior layout of the cabins is flexible and can be adapted to different uses to accommodate more complex programs and the needs of each resort.

Economical, durable and low maintenance materials.

The construction is designed with economical and low-tech prefabricated modular elements, which can be put on site quickly, reducing construction time and the necessary equipment.

All elements are flat and rectilinear. Easy to cut to reduce manufacturing time. The internal and external structure is made up of regular rectilinear galvanized steel profiles. These are economical and durable, as well as recyclable once the useful life of the construction is over. They are one of the most economical options in the market for building structures.

  • Structure : Recycled aluminum profiles.
  • Exterior panel cladding : Aluminum sandwich panel for facades with internal thermal insulation.
  • Interior cladding and floors : Wood of certified and sustainable origin.

100% renewable energy.

To achieve self-sufficient energy self-sufficiency, the cabins have solar panels on the deck that could generate enough electricity for each module.

In addition, each tree-house has low-pressure biodigester bags, connected to the wastewater outlet, which obtain gas from organic matter. This is used for heating, hot water and kitchens.

Zero carbon footprint.

With the introduction of solar panels, the entire energy demand of each module can be covered, which allows the villa’s carbon footprint to be reduced by a large percentage.

With an appropriate reforestation proposal on the plot itself and in other needy areas, this resort could achieve a negative carbon footprint, sequestering more carbon than emitted during its useful life.

Wood from replanted trees can sequester carbon equivalent emissions associated with the construction process. So they want to achieve a neutral balance for the environment.
